Resonance mufflers are usually used to eliminate low frequency (below 350 Hz) noise transmitted by pipes. The noise elimination principle of the interference muffler is enough to divide the sound wave into two paths. A row of straight pipes are installed on the automobile muffler manufacturer to make the length of the pipe twice that of the straight pipe. The length of the pipe is equal to the wavelength of the sound wave to be eliminated, so the length of the straight pipe is half the wavelength. In this way, when the sound wave passes through two different length paths, two kinds of acoustic waves with equal amplitude and opposite displacement will be produced at the junction of the pipe and the straight pipe, which will interfere with each other and reduce the noise.
